An update from the Revd Tim Mayfield, Bishop's Advisor on the Environment
Many of the safe spaces we create for children and young people take place in schools, either to allow young people to experience more of life to the full, or to create opportunities to explore the Christian faith. Here’s an overview of what we’ve been up to over the last term or so.
Part of Beyond Youth’s vision is to seek life in all its fulness for children and young people in South East Northumberland. We believe it’s central to the church’s mission to create regular safe spaces for children and young people to have fun, try new things and make friends, and we believe these spaces should be open and accessible to anyone. We have two such spaces at the moment, with a third that we hope to launch soon.
Last night, many people gathered together at Duke’s Secondary School in Ashington for an evening of celebration and reflection as Beyond Youth marked their first anniversary.
