The BBC's ever-popular Songs of Praise is coming to St George's Church in Jesmond - and people from across Newcastle Diocese can be part of it.
Filming will take place on Monday 21st August from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, and the church is inviting people to join its congregation for an evening filled with beautiful music and heartfelt worship.
It is hoped that enthusiastic locals will accept the free invitation to be part of the evening, which will be crucial to the hymn singing recording for the BBC One programme.
The evening will be informal with multiple short breaks for those needing to pop out for any reason - plus an interval at 8pm for a comfort break / leg stretch.
Admission is completely free - now St George's and the Songs of Praise team have provided the following information explaining how people can take part.
To apply, send your name and the number of seats you’d like to book to singwithus@ctvc.co.uk or call 07734 030 888.
If you are applying via email, please include 'Songs of Praise Jesmond' in the subject heading of your email. If you have any questions or need additional information, get in touch via the same contact details listed above.
Once you have applied, you will receive a reply as quickly as possible. Your eticket will include lots of useful information including which hymns will be sung during the evening.

St George's and the Songs of Praise team said: "Let's come together as a community to make this a memorable and harmonious celebration of faith and music. See you there!"
The recording will be done in small sections and with a definite interval. No one will be confined to a pew seat for a three hour stretch!
