Initial Ministerial Education 1-3 / IME Phase One

Lindisfarne College of TheologyThe Lindisfarne College of Theology was created to offer theological education to all adult church people, including those recommended for Ordination and Reader training. For recommended students, ministerial training is divided into two phases.

Phase One of this training occupies, for most, the first three years of training, and Phase Two years 4-7.

The Years 1-3 programme takes participants to the Durham University Diploma in Theology and Ministry, which they can develop, if they wish and it is deemed by the IME 4-7 Tutor desirable, to Degree level.

Ordinands and Trainee Readers meet together in module seminars and at Residentials to pursue a range of theological and ministerial subjects, including Biblical Studies, Doctrine, Ethics, History, Spirituality, Mission, Ministry, Pastoral Care & Theology, Preaching & Communication.
