Priest in Charge of Amble and Chevington

The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint a Full time Priest to be Priest in Charge of Amble and Chevington.

Might God be calling you to serve in this spectacular part of God’s creation? Close to designated coastal Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Sites of Special Scientific Interest and Northumberland National Park, these parishes are stunning, whilst also being well-connected by roads to the city of Newcastle and the historic market towns of Morpeth and Alnwick. The two churches each have their unique identities and both attract increased numbers of inhabitants and tourists.

We seek a priest who has well-developed leadership abilities, together with strong collaborative skills to help develop vocation, discipleship and mission as we seek to grow younger and more diverse. Our new priest will have a robust vision for collaborative partnership ministry. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a love of community who is looking to extend and develop their leadership in a context that offers great potential for growth.
