Part-Time Community Worker (Holy Trinity Jesmond)

Holy Trinity Jesmond is seeking a Community Worker (part-time).

Holy Trinity, Jesmond is a welcoming, evangelical, Anglican Church with a diverse congregation that is both gathered and local. As a church, we are committed to exploring new ways to engage with those in our geographical parish as well as equipping and encouraging our congregation to be salt and light in their own communities and networks.

We are excited to be entering a new season of growth and ministry at Holy Trinity Jesmond.

We are a lively, welcoming, multigenerational Anglican church with a strong commitment to biblical teaching, worship, discipleship, and outreach. As a church, our heart is to love God, love people, and make Jesus known in our community and beyond.

As we look to the future, we are investing in our team to help us grow deeper in faith and wider in mission. We are now recruiting for three key, part time, roles. Each offers an exciting opportunity to play a part in God’s work in Jesmond and across our locality. These roles are:

  • Youth Worker – to disciple and inspire our young people in their faith and everyday lives.
  • Worship Leader – to help shape and lead Spirit-filled worship across our services.
  • Community Worker – to deepen our connections with the local community and develop new outreach opportunities.

Each role is part time but some could be combined to create a full time post.

If you share our vision, we would love to hear from you.

The Community Worker will work in partnership with the Vicar and the Staff Team, to help facilitate discipleship, mission and evangelism.

The Community Worker should be a spiritually mature Christian who is living and sharing the values of God’s Kingdom. He/she should have proven experience of working within community groups and an active involvement within his/her current church. This person must have good interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to engage with a wide range of people of different ages and backgrounds.
