Two much-loved churches in our diocese are to share in a £483,000 funding payout from the National Churches Trust.Â
A year ago, news came to us daily of the long journeys taken by refugees and asylum seekers who were travelling away from their homes which had been ravaged by war.Â
Bishop Christine has sent her personal congratulations to the founder of Newcastle Homeless Commission, Bob Eldridge MBE, who has been named Charity Leader of the Year in the North East Charity Awards.
Our wonderful Children and Youth Task Group are making sure youngsters in our diocese know ‘Christmas is not cancelled’ this year!
The Festivals of Light event – which is supported by the diocese – is still going ahead this year with some major changes.
In the midst of the Covid pandemic, churches are creatively finding ways to continue engaging with people across their parishes. And the latest initiative by The Revd Benjamin Carter and his team from the Parishes by the Wall is certainly keeping the younger members of his community entertained.
