Warm Spaces in our Diocese

With the ongoing cost of living crisis and temperatures plummeting over the winter period, many of our churches are offering warm spaces for their communities. Find your nearest warm space in the list below.

If your church offers a warm space but is not included in this list, please contact the Communications Team with details communications@newcastle.anglican.org.

MONDAY

Church of the Good Shepherd, Battle Hill, Wallsend 12 – 4pm
Free soup, bread, tea, coffee table games and wonderful fellowship

Holy Trinity Embleton (Parish Room) 11am-2pm
Soup, bread and hot drinks

Wylam St. Oswald’s (Church Hall) 10.30am – 5.30pm
Friends, free internet, refreshments, clothes swap

St. Francis High Heaton 3-4.30pm
Safe space for young people 11-16 after school

St. James, Benwell 9.30-3.30pm
Breakfast, lunch, tea, coffee, cake & free wifi

St. John's Church, Percy Main (Church Hall) 9.30am - 12noon
Hot drinks & biscuits

Church of the Holy Spirit, West Denton 12.30-2.30pm
Free refreshments

TUESDAY

Place of Welcome aimed at socially isolated, elderly, those living with dementia and their carers

St. Mary's, Blyth 10-12.30pm

THURSDAY
