“Introducing this bill without addressing structural inequities and mistrust will likely result in widening disparities.” Bishop Helen-Ann supported Amendments 171A and 174A during Day 12 of the Committee Stage of the Terminally Ill Adults Bill which would ensure advocates for women at risk of coercion. Bishop Helen-Ann also highlighted the importance of addressing language and communication barriers in sensitive end-of-life conversations.
