A Visit to our Link Diocese of Botswana

In early May, a small group from our Diocese were delighted to be able to visit our Link Diocese of Botswana, a relationship which was first established back in 2003.

Their trip started with a celebration as the group attended the first ordination of women deacons in Botswana with Bishop Helen-Ann invited to preach at the service.

You can watch the Botswana TV coverage of the service below:

The group visited a range of different Anglican churches, projects and communities in and around Gabarone, including Botswana's first hospice, Holy Cross, established around thirty years ago, St. Peter's Church and day care centre and the St. Michael and All Angel's project.

A visit to the British High Commission in Gabarone. Engaging and lively conversation over lunch about shared issues between our dioceses and contexts.
