Assistant Priest (HfD), parishes of Cornhill with Carham and Branxton

The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint an Assistant Priest (House for Duty) to the parishes of Cornhill with Carham and Branxton.

The three rural parishes of Cornhill, Carham and Branxton are in North Northumberland bordering on to Scotland, ‘a secret kingdom waiting to be discovered’. There are three delightful parish churches serving the three villages and the vicarage is in the picturesque village of Branxton, near the site of the 1513 Battle of Flodden.

We are searching for a house for duty priest who can work collaboratively with the priest in charge and who is committed to helping the development of the rural church in exciting ways.

If you are enthusiastic about ministry in the rural context, have the energy to join others in trying out something new and have the skills to enable the participation of a wide range of people in a new way of being church, then we look forward to hearing from you.
