Lindisfarne College of Theology

Lindisfarne College of Theology LogoLindisfarne provides learning opportunities for adult Christians from the Tees to the Tweed. It trains people for ordained and lay public ministries and has a range of programmes for people who want to explore issues of faith.

Wherever you are in your journey of faith it can offer something to take you further.

Please visit the Lindisfarne website for more information.

Here you can find out about opportunities for exploring the Christian faith with people from local churches, and about courses that lead to a formal qualification. It might be that you want to look at some aspect of faith in more detail without committing to a whole year or more of study we can offer that too.

The key word is flexibility; Lindisfarne staff can help you to decide what is right for you and can tailor an individual learning pathway that fits around your needs.

LCT Welcomes Applicants for 2019/2020 Academic Year

Lindisfarne College of Theology is welcoming applications for its programmes in Theology, Ministry and Mission commencing in September 2019. We invite applications from people who seek to deepen their discipleship and who wish to further their knowledge in theology. Our courses are ideal for those engaged in any service in the Church, either lay or ordained. Our mode of study is offered part-time and is deeply context-based. We cover a broad spectrum of subjects from biblical studies and Christian history, through to spirituality, worship and reflective practice.

Undergraduate programmes are offered from a 1-year Foundation Award through to a 5-year part-time BA. All Lindisfarne courses are validated by Durham University Common Awards as a nationally recognised qualification. Teaching is offered in Durham and North Shields.

We are also delighted to announce that starting in September is our new MA in Theology, Ministry and Mission, We anticipate that the MA will be especially opportune for those students who want to reflect in depth on the ministry and mission in their own professional contexts.
